Kia Picanto Spare Key

The key fob lets you unlock and start your Picanto. The key comes with an embedded security chip that blocks the standard immobiliser.
Whether you're in a grocery parking lot of a store with plenty of hands or running your weekly errands, the key fob is convenient to lock and unlock your car. It can, however, cease to function for a variety of reasons.
Transponder Key
Modern technology has enabled us to gain many benefits in our cars. One of these advantages is the appearance of transponder keys, which allow you to start your car with a key fob that contains an RFID chip. The chip sends a signal to the immobilizer which informs it that you've got the right key to start your car. This chip also helps to decrease the chances of theft from cars. It is difficult to duplicate this kind of key, but it's not impossible. You should always contact an automotive locksmith for transponder key replacement.
The first thing you must do prior to calling locksmiths is to make sure that you have all the details of your vehicle. This includes the VIN models, year, model, and the trim (options). This will help them locate the correct key for your car quickly. It could also save you money. A transponder key typically costs more than a traditional metal key however it's not nearly as expensive as getting a new ignition system.
A key fob that has a chip is more secure than a metal key. It's harder to duplicate and it's also less prone to hot wire. The chip in the key fob communicates with your car's computer and allows it to detect that you've got the right key and let it run. This is an excellent way to be at ease about the security of your car.
Keyless Entry System
Many cars come with the keyless entry option. In contrast to traditional keys, which require the user to insert them into the lock and turn the lock, this system transmits radio signals to the vehicle. If the car determines that the key fob is in range, it will unlock the vehicle or turn on the motor. Certain systems allow the driver to open the windows as well as the trunk by pressing the fob's button.
It is easier to use a keyless lock, especially during cold weather. This way, you don't have to insert your keys into the lock, and this can prevent damage from dirt or ice to the lock mechanism. It is important to remember that a keyless car lock is not functional in the event of a power outage or if a battery in the vehicle dies. Consequently, it is recommended to keep an emergency key in the glove box of the vehicle.
G28CarKeys provide more security than conventional keys. Certain systems, for instance will secure the car when the driver walks off, and can also stop the engine if the driver does not remember. These options are especially beneficial when the vehicle is parked in an area that has high crime rates or if the owner is concerned about leaving valuables inside the car.
Keyless Start System
With the keyless ignition system you can unlock and start your car without the mechanical key. It uses a transponder in your smart fob to transmit an ID code that is authenticated by the vehicle's anti-theft system. If the smart fob is in proximity of the vehicle, it broadcasts a signal to the car's antennas. This will then activate the engine, like if you inserted a key into the ignition.
These systems are becoming increasingly popular in both domestic and imported vehicles. A single press starts the engine and switches on other electrical features like the radio. You can also turn on the air conditioning with a single press. Pressing the button a second time will turn off the vehicle's electrical features, pressing the button once more with your foot on the brake will stop the engine.
Many drivers don't remember to put their vehicle in "park", which has resulted in a few accidents. Many systems have safeguards to prevent this from happening. Some require you to flick or rotate a switch before you press the start button, and others conduct pre-start safety checks in order to ensure that the car is in park and your foot is firmly on the brake. Other safety tips include reading the owner's manual, following basic safety guidelines and watching an NHTSA video on keyless ignition.
Remote Control
The Remote Control System in your Kia works to make your life a little simpler by giving you the possibility of locking and unlocking your vehicle from anywhere at any time. This is done through two sensors inside your Kia keyfob that communicates with the standard immobiliser system in the car and is located inside the engine control module (ECU).
When you press a key on your key fob, it transmits data to a data generation 103 indicating the key that was activated. The data generator 103 creates trigger data indicating the function you have selected, and transmits it via a transmitter 104. The transmitter 104 adjusts the infrared beam based on the trigger information, and then sends it back to the remote control interface 109.
The remote control interface 109 consists of a receiver 110 that takes infrared light signals that have been modulated and demodulates them to retrieve the control codes within the carrier wave. The remote control interface 109 then transmits the control signal to the electronic device, which activates the desired function according to the control code.
The battery in your Kia smart key or remote key fob is expected to last for years, but it will eventually need to be replaced. You can replace it yourself by using a small tool to remove the battery cover before replacing it with a new battery (CR2032). If you're not sure which battery to use, please contact an authorized Kia service partner or dealer. If you decide to replace the battery, be sure to dispose of it in accordance with local laws and regulations.
